Thangdi kababs are grilled chicken legs with juicy and tender meat which gets the real taste from the curd and herbs that we are using in this.This is one of our favorite starter in Dhaba restaurant.Kids do love this kabab than tandoori chicken.This kabab needs to be cooked in tandoor -Clay Oven ,but at home we can grill it or bake in oven.The taste when cooked in clay oven gets100% flavor ,which is reduced to 80% in our oven cooking.But yet i'm sure U 'll love this kebab.Keep trying and leave ur comments.
Ingredients:
2 Chicken Leg Quarters ( Can use chicken drumsticks(4) also)
1/2 Cup yogurt
2tbs Gingergarlic paste
2 Green chillies
1 Cup Spinach Leaves(Palak)
1/2 Capsicum(Green)
1/4 Cup mint leaves
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
Few drops of Lemon juiceSalt to taste
Butter for brushing
Preparation:
Remove the skin of the chicken ,wash and make deep cuts on the skin.
In a bowl mix yogurt,salt, lemon juice and add the chicken pieces.
Grind the spinach,mint,capsicum,chillies in the mixie.
Now add redchilli powder,garam masala ,grinded mix to the chicken and marinate overnight in refrigerator.
Oven process:
- Take the chicken out and leave it till it reaches the room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Cook the chicken for 10 mins on each sides,till all the juices from the chicken comes out and get evaporates.
- Then brush the chicken with butter on each side and again bake it for 10 mins each side.
- Once the chicken is cooked,then broil it for 3-5 mins or more till u get golden strips on the chicken.
Enjoy the thangdi kabab with slices of onion and coriander chutney.
